Perio-Protect system ™ - is a custom mouth guard designed to medicate your gums and control gum disease.  They may also be used to prevent decay and desensitize the teeth as well.  We will fabricate upper and lower trays which are FDA approved medical devices.  They are sent to a certified laboratory for construction.  Once we deliver and instruct you in the use of these trays, they should be worn once/day or more depending on your condition for 20 minute interval(s).  You will then return at 10, 16, 22, and 28 week intervals to evaluate the progress.  These trays may need to be remade after 3 years.  A nice side effect of these trays is that the teeth become lighter and whiter over time 3-4 months with continued use. (Usually not covered by insurance).
