Advanced Technology
Soft Tissue Laser -
Dr. Beck is pleased to offer this state-of-the-art
technology to his patients. Lasers are the most amazing new technology to
come to dentistry in the last 50 years. The benefits include:
- having gum surgery without the need for needles
and no bleeding or stitches, being able to eat, drink and talk right
after surgery with little discomfort.
- not needing to hear the sounds of the dental
drill.
- an instrument that sterilizes as it heals…THAT IS
WHAT LASERS DO!
Air Abrasion -
Dr. Beck uses an exciting new technology called Air
Abrasion, which helps avoid the use of needles and an uncomfortable numb
feeling. It removes the smallest possible amount of tooth structure, and
enables your dentist to place strong natural looking restorations in only a
few minutes.
Air abrasion involves the use of a special hand piece
that creates a beam of abrasive particles propelled by a stream of clean,
dry air. Air abrasion is most effectively used for small early cavities,
removal of stains, repair of small chips, and to repair or replace fillings.
Digital X-rays - Digital radiography is the latest way to take and
evaluate x-rays. With digital x-rays, 80% less radiation is needed to produce
high-quality images. These images can then be evaluated on a large
flat-screen monitor. This allows for easier detection of any problems. With
such a large image, it is also easier for patients to see and understand
what is happening with their teeth.
Diagnodent / Laser Cavity Detector - Diagnodent is a major
breakthrough that allows Dr. Beck to detect tooth decay that x-rays cannot
see. We can now locate hidden decay in it's earliest stage, and with
treatment stop the spread of the disease before it destroys the tooth from
within. Click here to learn more about
Diagnodent.
Dental Couch Potato - (TLC)
The Technology and Lighting Center (TLC) is the only overhead multimedia
display that allows our patients to comfortably watch TV, digital x-rays or
computer images, videos, or movies. Plus the integrated fiber optic dental
light shines in our patient's mouth - not in their eyes, providing an
unobstructed, glare-free, heat-free experience. For more information, visit
Dental Couch
Potato.
Intra-oral Camera - A picture is worth a thousand words – especially
in dentistry! Dr. Beck uses a small camera right inside your mouth to take
highly magnified digital photos of your teeth. These photos can be displayed
on a computer screen for both patient and doctor, and are invaluable in
diagnosing and recording dental problems. They provide a window into your
special care. Intra-oral photos also allow our patients to view what the
dentist sees when they are evaluating your teeth.
Electric Handpieces - Smooth, quiet
operation and consistently high torque throughout the entire speed range are
the most important features that distinguish an electric motor from an
air-driven high- or low-speed handpiece. The lack of vibration will thrill
you with it's absence. The high torque allows us to finish tooth preparation
more quickly and accurately than conventional drills.
Brite Smile Teeth Whitening System & Tray Bleaching
Operating Microscope - This microscope provides improved
magnification and lighting. We are able to fine tune our procedures by
using this device at critical junctures. It is yet another way that we keep
the level of quality and comfort for you the patient at an optimum. For

Vibraject System
- We have developed a virtually painless dental anesthesia system.
Before “Novocain” is given, a gel anesthetic is gently placed on the gum
and is allowed act. We are using a PH friendly anesthetic – since the
PH (acidity or the lack of it) is almost the same as the body, that
burning feeling is eliminated. Finally this system, connected to the
Vibraject provides “good vibrations” distracting one away from the
injection at hand. For more information:
